Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) carries a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Long Colt as his duty sidearm throughout the film. He uses this weapon to persuade the kids to remain on the ground while he questions Morgan about the suicide.
Smith & Wesson Model 27
The hitchhiker (Lauren German) is seen using a Smith & Wesson Model 27 .357 Magnum revolver in the film. The weapon is then used by Sheriff Hoyt and Morgan to demonstrate the hitchhiker's suicide. Sheriff Hoyt then fires the weapon at Erin's getaway car before she runs him over.
