The MGC 16 assault rifle - a non firing replica built by MGC (Model Gun Corp) of Tokyo Japan and sold in the U.S. by Collector's Armory, Ltd. between 1972 and 1985. It was a robust metal replica of the M16 which was seen in literally hundreds of movies and TV shows in the 1970s and 1980s. It was the standard non firing version of the M16 when a live weapon was not required. It was seen very clearly in films like Full Metal Jacket and even as recently as the Hulk motion picture. Being all metal, it is far more sturdy than any of the recent Airsoft rifles which is why it is still used to this day for background M16 rifles.
