The Smith & Wesson Model 10 is held by Doctor Woodward after the train crash. It also appears to be the standard sidearm of the city's police department, as several officers have them holstered. Sherrif Pruitt carries one, and it is found on the ground at the site of his disappearance.

Unknown Bolt-Action Rifle

An unknown bolt-action rifle, described as ".30-06, bolt-action" by one of the kids, is used by USAF personnel to try and tag the creature with fictional "tracker rounds". It appears to have a black synthetic stock, stainless barrel and a modified scope. Based on the film's time period, it may be a Winchester Model 70.
