*Not really. For a start, from what I can gather you'd need to build a new guidence system if you wanted it to lock on to ground targets. If you just fired the missile regardless, it's pretty thin and doesn't have the biggest warhead in the universe; it'd be a waste of a complicated, expensive weapon to just fire it straight forward.   • Not really. For a start, from what I can gather you'd need to build a new guidence system if you wanted it to lock on to ground targets. If you just fired the missile regardless, it's pretty thin and doesn't have the biggest warhead in the universe; it'd be a waste of a complicated, expensive weapon to just fire it straight forward.
