Geobreeders (1998) and Geobreeders: Breakthrough (2000) are two OVA series based on Akihiro Ito's on-going manga of the same name. The story depicts members of Kagura Total Security as they fight against the Phantom Cats. Kagura's main business rival is Hound, a secret government paramilitary organization under the control of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Phantom cats are mystical beings capable of taking both human and feline forms as well as manipulating all form of eletronic signals. This ability makes the cats master of information manipulation. Physical attack against the cats in human form will not permanenetly harm them as the cats have the ability to regenerate in human form. Hound's specially designed EM field generators, when deployed, can neutralized Phantom Cats' abilities such as regeneration or escape through telephone lines. In order to eradicate them, Cats needs to be "sealed" using specially designed tags or other devices.
The OVA storylines are considered canon and are incorporated into the main manga story.
The following weapons are seen in the anime Geobreeders and it's sequel Geobreeders: Breakthrough

Indigo Shooting Star used Sterling SMG when attacking Kagura's van on the freeway in Breakthrough. When she ran out of ammo, she simply discarded the Sterling and picked up another.
The old man who took the Kagura crew in during Breakthrough had a secret stash of Soviet weapons under his living room tatami, which include at least two PPSh-41 submachine gun. Kagura company president Yuka Kikushima used one during the fire fight.

During the SEALs raid on Kagura's office, Umezaki took out a Lahti L-39 anti-tank rifle, but was unable to use it due to the AH-1W's 20mm supressive fire. In order to increase her firepower, she modified the L-39 to accept a drum magazine and turned it into a heavy machine gun, which was considered reckless by the owner of the machine shop where she finished her modification. The English DVD incorrectly translated it as "Ratti machine gun".
In a final attempt to kill Umezaki, Indigo Shooting Star used a NTW-20 anti-material rifle to shoot the nature gas pipe line near the hot spring where Umezaki was taking a bath. The gas was once again ignited by Himehagi's cigarette.
A disguised USMC AH-1W Super Cobra fired its M197 20mm gun to cover the SEAL team's extraction. It was referred to as "20mm Vulcan" by Umezaki and Eiko Rando. However, in the US DVD release, it was incorrectly translated as "20mm Balkan".
