Also the M16 is actually an SP1 with an M16A1 flash hider.  Or at least, the gun that Rostov is holding is an SP1; not sure if there are any genuine A1s in the movie. -[[User:MT2008|MT2008]] 13:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

The one thing I remember about the movie, other than the coke straw in the nose and the knife in the hand scenes, was in the climactic final firefight when Norris picks up an apparently discarded M-16/"grenade launcher" combo. When he has to take out two terrorists on either side behind a door not only does he only fire it once in order to take out both bad guys but seemingly just by moving it to one side two holes appear in the wall!!! --[[User:Charon68|Charon68]] 01:16, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

This is a work in progress

I finally have the DVD so don't mess with this page! But each time I watch this really BAD movie (ugh) I notice more and more guns, so the list will probably end up being pretty LONG. MoviePropMaster2008 07:20, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I know the feeling MPM. I'm slowly screencapping Missing In Action and it seems that it's takeing forever with my POS comp and I'm finding glimpses of weapon after weapon that I missed the first play through. Rockwolf66 18:50, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm gonna sort by guns like others have done (handgun, SMG, rifle, shotgun, machine guns, heavy weapons, etc) when I'm done capping MoviePropMaster2008 19:40, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

M60

Can you please include a screenshot of that National Guardsmen one-handing the M60 a la Rambo? I always thought that was pretty ridiculous. --Ben41 07:29, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

The grenade launcher

It looks to me like they stuck a Walther P38 (or maybe a modern copy, such as a P1) into the fake launcher tube. Presumably, they used it so that it would produce a muzzle flash when fired.

Also the M16 is actually an SP1 with an M16A1 flash hider. Or at least, the gun that Rostov is holding is an SP1; not sure if there are any genuine A1s in the movie. -MT2008 13:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
