The Crazies is a remake of the George A. Romero film made in 1973. The plot revolves around a small town that after becoming contaminated is quarantined by the military who plans to eliminate the towns folk.

Smith & Wesson Model 27

Sheriff Dutten retrieves a Smith & Wesson Model 27 with a 3.5" barrel from a lockbox in his desk. He loads it with .38 Special cartridges as seen on the headstamp. Dutten's back story is that his father was the former sheriff, making the Model 27 his duty revolver.

The Soldiers that are sent to 'Clean Up' the infection carry M4A1 Rifles usually with a 4x ACOG scope and flash-lights. At one point in the movie a soldier aims down the scope but a red flash is emitted like it was a laser sight.
