Carcano Rifle?

  • When Sheriff Deputy Pete Willis (Rick Overton) is taking guns out of a rifle cabinet at the station, he mentions that one of the rifles is the Lee Harvey Oswald rife, ostensibly the actual rifle, but why they would have it, is unknown and not explained. Later Harlan Griffith (Doug E. Doug) refers to it as like Lee Harvey Oswald rifle. Here is the quote: Winchester, 30.06, Mossberg pump, and the Lee Harvey Oswald rifle... Why we have that, I do not know.

and lately:Oswald's gun... man, this is the weirdest day of my life!

Though Harlan Griffith (Doug E. Doug) refers to the rifle as the Lee Harvey Oswald gun, but it is NOT a Carcano Rifle. I believe it's a Remington 03-A3 but I have to see the film again to be sure.
