I paid about $300 for mine after a large number were imported to Canada, they're going for $400-$500 now as they got bought up. We got them because Russia signed a agreement with the Clinton government not to export certain firearms (including the SVT-40) to the US. I will warn you, it's a real pain to strip, so if you're at all lazy about cleaning don't fire surplus ammo in it. I use Igman and Bell almost exclusively, it's still pretty cheap and I don't feel bad about firing it in some of my rarer rifles.
