Notes and WIP pages for media I want to cover for this site.

The Violence Action [2022, Japan]

FUCK THIS MOVIE. The editing makes Bohemian Rhapsody look modest, and the fact that it's a movie about hired killers AND the yakuza means that THERE ARE A LOT OF GUNS. Lots of guns AND cocaine-fueled editing is NEVER fun to skim through.

Pistols

SIG-Sauer P226

Glock 17

Colt M1911

Beretta 92FS

The Sadness [2021, Taiwan]

NOPE. I am absolutely not touching this one with a 10-foot pole anytime soon. I'll just note down what I can remember.

Pistols

"3D printed" Glock 17

Grenades

Unknown grenade

ML [2018, Philippines]

I hate this movie, not just because it's hard to sit through but because it barely even does what it claims to do, which is educating the younger generation about the (local) dictatorship years. What does seeing a hip teen and his friends getting tortured for like an hour teach about what thousands of innocent lives went through back then? Barely anything, that's what

Revolvers

Smith & Wesson Model 19

The French Dispatch [2021, USA]

I frickin love Wes Anderson and I really wanna add his latest movie to this site.

Submachine guns

MAT-49

Rifles

MAS-36

(Forbidden) Siren [2003, Japan]

Obtuse, confusing but interesting and kinda fun PS2 survival horror game. The characters are in a secluded rural village in Japan, which is why (most of) the guns are super old and Japanese.

Revolvers

Unknown Smith & Wesson revolver

Type 26 Revolver

Rifles

Murata Type 22 rifle

Unknown rifle

Grenades

Type 99 Hand grenade

(Forbidden) Siren 2 [2006, Japan]

The sequel to (Forbidden) Siren makes the game easier, and has a (mostly) new story with new characters. Some of the characters are JSDF, which means we get some really neat guns

Pistols

Minebea P9

Revolvers

Nambu Model 60

Submachine Guns

Minebea M-9

Assault rifles

Howa Type 89

Howa Type 64

Classic realistic weapon-based fighting game for the PS1.
