In "Chapter One Hundred and Six: Angels in America", a photo is seen that depicts what appears to be a Wehrmacht soldier during World War II armed with a machine gun. The photo shows the soldier holding an RPD mocked-up as an MG34. A very similar, if not the exact same, weapon appears in the Russian made-for-television film The Axe (Topor).
