Southern Comfort (1981)

Southern Comfort is a 1981 thriller directed by Walter Hill (48 Hrs.) that centers around a National Guard patrol who find themselves being hunted by a group of Cajun locals in the swamps of Louisiana.


The following weapons are used in the film Southern Comfort:


M16 Rifle Colt Model 602

Nearly all of the National Guardsmen in the film are seen carrying the M16 rifle, which have been modified to fire blanks as well as live ammunition. This includes Cpl. Hardin (Powers Boothe), Pfc. Spencer (Keith Carradine), Cpl. "Coach" Bowden (Alan Autry), and Pfc. Stucky (Lewis Smith).
