The '''Breda Mod. 35''', along with the [[OTO Mod. 35]] and [[SRCM Mod. 35]], was part of the Italian Modello 35 series of hand grenades, nicknamed "Red Devil" hand grenades due to their coloration. They were used by Italy from WW2 well into the 1980s. All three grenades were impact detonated.
Breda Mod. 35 was modified into '''Breda Mod. 40''' that differed for the bursting charge. Another hand grenade, based on Mod. 35, was '''Breda Mod. 40 stick grenade''' that was a normal Mod. 35 mounted on a wooden or bakelite handle, in style of German ''Stielhandgranate''.
