A Philadelphia police officer is seen with a 2nd Generation Glock 17 in a promo screenshot. A man who helps Gerry in a looted Newark grocery store (Ruari Cannon) is also seen wielding a Glock. Gerry and Dr. Fassbach (Elyes Gabel) also carry Glocks after landing at Camp Humphreys in South Korea. Segen (Daniela Kertesz) later uses a Glock at the WHO lab in Cardiff, which is given to her by one of the WHO doctors as a last resort. A 3rd Generation model is also used by Gerry while aboard the Antonov An-12.
Beretta 92FS pistols, standing in for M9s, are used by the soldiers stationed at Camp Humphreys in South Korea, including Captain Speke (James Badge Dale). A US Navy SEAL who escorts Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) to the base is seen firing a suppressed Beretta 92FS at the zombies.
Segen uses her service Jericho 941R on the Belarus Airways plane to kill some zombies before running out of ammo. Segen's left hand was amputated, so she couldn't reload the gun.
Tommy's father (Ernesto Cantu) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 15 when the Lanes retreat to an apartment complex in Newark, New Jersey. Tommy (Fabrizio Zacharee Guido) later uses it to save Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) from a zombie when the Lanes escape Newark by helicopter.
US military personnel including Special Forces, SEALs and US Marines can be seen with M4A1 carbines throughout the film. The US Army Rangers including Captain Speke (James Badge Dale) that Gerry meets at an air base in South Korea are armed with suppressed M4A1s. A USAF parajumper (Matthew Fox) fires an M4 when on the rescue helicopter for Gerry (Brad Pitt) and his family. The M4A1s have a variety of attachments including EOTech sights, flashlights and CAA CBS stocks.
One of Gerry's IDF escorts uses an M4A1 Carbine with an ACOG scope and M203 grenade launcher. Gerry is later seen waving the carbine to flag down the Belarus Airlines jet.
Gerry's IDF escort Segen and several other soldiers use AR-15 carbines with A2 upper receivers and 10" barrels with XM177-style muzzle brakes. Similar composite carbines appeared in Blood Diamond and Black Hawk Down.
Gerry uses a Remington Model 700 that he finds in a commandeered RV while fleeing from Philadelphia to Newark. He tapes a kitchen knife to the barrel as a makeshift bayonet.
A standard-length FN Minimi is used by a helicopter-borne USAF parajumper sent to rescue Gerry and his family. This machine gun is fitted with a 200-round cloth ammo bag and was likely used as a substitute for the Mk 46 Mod 0.
IDF soldiers use M67 hand grenades while battling the zombies. Gerry also uses Segen's grenade on board the Belarus Airways plane when it becomes overrun by the infected.
American A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack aircraft can be seen in the trailer. These carry internally-mounted General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger rotary cannons under the nose.
In the US, trailers approved for "Appropriate Audiences" are not allowed to show people brandishing weapons at other people in the same shot, even if the people are undead zombies. Thus, Israeli soldiers' rifles were digitally replaced with walkie-talkies for these scenes in the previews.
