No you're right the movie is supposed to take place in 1975. Needless to say having Pacino use a Beretta 92F is a serious screwup. I saw an old Gary Cooper western once. Takes palce during the Seminole Indian War in Florida in the 1830's/1840's. Guess what. They have the characters using Colt 1873 Peacemakers. That's Hollywood for you. --[[User:Jcordell|Jcordell]] 22:34, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

:At least that is not as bad as M16s(the original version) being used by U.S. marines in full metal jacket or type 84s being used by the vietcong in Tunnel Rats.[[User:Oliveira|Oliveira]] 18:17, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

This movie takes place in 1975 right? Then why the hell does Carlito have a Beretta 92F, the only model available was the 92 at the time (and it JUST came out). Maybe the description on my channel guide got it wrong, though. I only saw the gunfight in the bar, so I never heard if the movie actually DOES take place in '75. - Gunmaster45
