The Naval Mettle (Morskoy kharakter) is a Soviet 1970 war movie directed by Vasili Zhuravlyov and based on several stories by Leonid Sobolev. The story depicts the participation of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet Marines in the defence of the city of Odessa in 1941.
