In one scene Lt. Travkin ([[Anatoliy Verbitskiy]]) holds a pistol that looks larger than TT and has different shape of the frame. It is seen only in distance but can be guessed to be [[Vis wz. 35]].

The Star (original title Zvezda) is a 1949 Soviet war movie about a group of Soviet scouts working behind enemy lines in Summer 1944 ("Zvezda" is a name of this special group). The film is directed by Aleksandr Ivanov and based on a story by Emmanuil Kazakevich. It was remade in 2002.

An M45 Quadmount with four Browning M2HB machine guns is seen in the opening scene. It is mounted on M17 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage, a version of better known M16 MGMC. This vehicle was supplied under Lend Lease to USSR.
