The following guns were used in the film Pineapple Express:
- Will repost all image once the DVD comes out on January
- Why are the bootlegs back?
Sawed-off Shotgun
Red (Danny R. McBride), retrieves a sawed-off shotgun from the weapon cache hidden in his wall when he and Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) prepare to to break Saul (James Franco) out of the Ted Jones'(Gary Cole) grow house. Although he chickens out later and flees the scene before they enter, he returnes at the climax of the film. After using his car to run over and kill Jones' henchman Matheson (Craig Robinson), he proceeds to fire the shotgun at the dead man's foot, blowing part of it off.
NOTE: Upon closer inspection, Red's shotgun seems to be based on a variety of actual counterparts. First, it's pump resembles that of a Winchester 1300. The body, from the barrel and magazine cap to the ejection port resembles either a Winchester 1300, or a Mossberg 500. The trigger guard however, looks like a Remington 870's. The safety seems to located in front of the trigger guard, and not above it, like a Mossberg 500 series, or behind it, like a Remington 870. The gun may be a fictional mock up of one, or just a custom built model. If anyone can correctly identify this gun please do because I'm an amatuer and I could be wrong.
- I say it is a Mossberg 500. The action clearly has the action bars the 1300 doesn't have (and has some nice look engine grooves) and the pump and trigger guard are Mossberg as well (trigger guard is at an ackward angle). I can't see the end of the mag tube so I can't see for sure. I say we delete all these BOOTLEG shots and wait until the legal DVD comes out and the gun is more clearly seen. - Gunmaster45
- I own the Movie, and the picture below is exactly the same in the Real Movie. I believe that many of the parts of a Winchester and a Remington are interchangeable, are they not? ~ Revolver
i believe only stock is interchangable and it takes some work, 1300/870 are basedon same idea but completely different-k9870
SIG-Sauer P226
Ted Jones (Gary Cole) carries a pair of stainless SIG-Sauer P226 pistols as his sidearms throughout the movie. The one he uses to kill the Asian hitman in his house is a flashbulb-firing "non gun" SIG look-a-like rented from International Studio Services.
Beretta 92G Elite II
Officer Carol Brazier (Rosie Perez) carries a Beretta 92G Elite II as her sidearm throughout the movie.
Heckler & Koch UMP
Used by the Asian gangsters when they attack Ted Jones' underground drug facility at the end of the movie.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Used by the Asian gangsters.
M4 Carbine
Used by the Asian gangsters.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Officer Carol Brazier (Rosie Perez) uses a discarded H&K MP7A1 in an attempt to kill Red (Danny R. McBride).
Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 629
Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) wields a Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 629 with a scope rail when he approaches Ted Jones' barn. He uses it to threaten one of Jones' henchmen Pete, who is quickly killed in turn by Budlofsky (Kevin Corrigan) to avoid a hostage situation. Afterwards, Dale wastes no time in handing over this, and his numerous other weapons.
AKM
Several of Ted Jones' henchmen can be seen wielding AKM assault rifles while they are on guard at his grow house. They are also used in the ensuing battle against Jones' Asian competitors. Dale (Seth Rogen) picks up and uses one.
Custom AKMS
The custom short-barreled AKMS/Chinese Type 56-1 seen in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Rambo makes an appearance in this film, wielded in the final shootout by Saul Silver (James Franco).
1911
Saul picked up one from the black guy and shot him with it.
The second shot is a stainless S&W 539 below, not a 1911.
The 1911 is in a holster on the wall
Micro Uzi
Para Ordinance 1911
Smith & Wesson 3913
Smith & Wesson 539
It should be noted that when Dale and Saul are grabbing their guns, you can see a blued Smith & Wesson 39-2 being loaded as well.
Derringer
Makarov PM
Browning BAR
Used by Dale's Girlfriend's Father.
I remember him cycling a bolt after each shot, but i could be wrong. - just watched it he deinately cycles, no idea what this makes the rifle...
