A Navy SEAL loads up his pistol at the start of "Ka Makuakane" (S05E02).
Please help ID this pistol. It's possible that it's a Beretta, but the rail doesn't seem to match anything familiar. --Ben41 (talk) 03:13, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
- I think its just a railed SIG isn't it? I can't tell if it is a P226 or P220 from that shot though. --commando552 (talk) 05:20, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
- Second shot is of a Beretta, you can tell by the hammer having a hole in it.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 00:06, 8 October 2014 (EDT)
Grover's 1911
Are there any clearer shots of Grover's 1911, as this is not a TRP Operator:
If you look at the front of the pistol you can see that it has a normal 1911 length frame rather than the full length frame of the Operator he has previously used. It could be the Light Rail model, but from the minimal marking on this side of the slide I would be more inclined to say that it is a Kimber Warrior. --commando552 (talk) 05:30, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
- That's also a Streamlight TLR-2 vs the TLR-1 he had last season. Although in 5.02 he had no light on his weapon.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 00:06, 8 October 2014 (EDT)
The light rail transition is probably the biggest give away, as the dust cover is slanted -- not flat. This is what would have me inclined to think that this is infact a Kimber Warrior as well. I personally would have gone with a TRP though ;)--Gwhysow (talk) 16:29, 16 November 2014 (EST)
FN Mark 13
Is this in service with the US? I know the M-203 and M-320 are but wasn't aware this was issued to any units. --Charon68 (talk) 05:32, 7 October 2014 (EDT)
- I've never seen a photo of them using it, but I am pretty sure that USSOCOM did get some. After all, the term "MK 13" is just the USSOCOM designation for the FN40GL. I highly doubt they got many though or still use them, as they mainly ended up getting the SCAR-H and I believe that the MK 13 is specifically the FN40GL-L (the version for the SCAR-L). Granted they could get new trigger adapters and fit them to their SCAR-Hs, but these are more DMR weapons so there wouldn't be much point. On a related note, anybody else notice how massively long those magazine are relative to the bottom of the grenade launcher? To me they look like they could be MWG 40 round mags, but is hard to tell in that lighting. If not, could also be that they are normal 30 round mags that for some reason have gotten stuck in the trigger bridge for the grenade launcher rather than the magazine well. --commando552 (talk) 08:19, 7 October 2014 (EDT)
Grover's SIG
Grover's SIG-Sauer looks more like the SIG-Sauer P226 E2 that McGarrett used in season 1 --Gunfan2818 (talk)
- It is missing the "E2" markings, so it definitely isn't that. It could still be a regular P226R or a "Navy", however i do not think it is. Even though there is a rail mounted flashlight attached, from that cap I'm not sure that the original pistol had a rail. If you look at the side of the frame on a railed SIG, the top of it where it meets the slide and the bottom edge above the rail are totally parallel. In this cap they are not parallel, instead the bottom edge slopes upwards like on an un-railed P226. --commando552 (talk) 21:22, 12 October 2014 (EDT)
- I personally don't see any difference between the slide/frame of a railed and non-railed P226 and I highly doubt they went through the trouble of mounting an X300 on a non-railed P226 when they have a plethora of railed P226's in their collection. I'm thinking this was a continuity error and McGarrett's P226 Navy wound up being given to Grover, especially since the SIG in McGarrett's holster during that scene is the Elite that sometimes gets swapped out for the Navy.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 18:53, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- Normally, if it was P226 with a railed frame it should be the case that the line where the slide and the frame join should be totally parallel to the top of the the mount of the X300. In the above cap this is not the case, with the front of the mount being closer to the slide than at the back which suggests that the part of the frame it is attached to is sloped like on the old, non-railed P226. Granted it could be something else like a weird trick of the camera, the torch not being mounted correctly, or the torch/pistol/both being a replica of some sort that is slightly off. Just judging from this one cap though, that pistol doesn't look right to me. --commando552 (talk) 19:27, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- That could be due to the X300 being set up to mount using the rail lock system vs the standard system. It puts pressure on the rail that tilts the front end of the light upward depending on how tightly the screw is screwed in.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 19:54, 13 October 2014 (EDT)

416s?
Are those really 416s? I can't seem to tell Excalibur01 (talk) 08:13, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- I don't think so, the rail doesn't look high enough, the gas block isn't exposed, and there is no step on the receiver rail at the rear. To me, it also looks like these "HK416s" are the exact same gun as the "Mark 18 Mod 0s" listed beneath. My guess is that they are older model Daniel Defence Mk 18s but would need a better shot of the back of the rail to tell for sure (I think this is what the guns ID's as 416s are in the previous season as well). --commando552 (talk) 11:43, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- I'm fairly certain those rails are Daniel Defense Mk18's, the front of Kono's rifle matches it almost exactly.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 18:56, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
Also, I don't think Grover's P226 is a regular one, since it has a rail and light attached Excalibur01 (talk) 19:57, 13 October 2014 (EDT)
- Technically it is, as all but 3 of the 4 X-Five models have rails. But per site standards (Annoying IMO, but I understand) it should be labelled as a P226R.--Crazycrankle (talk) 09:31, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
