Aaliyah (1979-2001) holds a SIG-Sauer P226 as Trisha in Romeo Must Die .

Aaliyah (born Aaliyah Dana Haughton) was an American R&B Singer and actress. Though her discography and filmography was brief, she was deemed destined for a superstar career before her untimely death in a plane crash. After filming Romeo Must Die, Aaliyah finished principal photography on her film Queen of the Damned and had already started filming her scenes as the character of Zee on The Matrix Reloaded. But after taking a break to film a music video in the Bahamas, she boarded an overloaded plane (filled the people and equipment) and piloted by an unqualified pilot. The plane crashed, killing all on board. All of Aaliyah's scenes in The Matrix Reloaded as Zee (Link's Wife) had to be scrapped, and her scenes were reshot with actress Nona Gaye.
