The Eiger Sanction is a 1975 thriller directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. In the film, Eastwood plays a former assassin who is persuaded to take on a final "sanction" while leading a group of climbers up the Eiger mountain in the Swiss Alps. Notable for its spectacular climbing sequences and one of the early directing efforts for the actor.
