The Following weapons were used in the movie Tall Tale
Starring: Patrick Swayze as Pecos Bill, Nick Stahl as Daniel Hackett, Scott Glenn as J.P. Stiles, Oliver Platt as Paul Bunyan, Roger Aaron Brown as John Henry, Stephen Lang as Jonas Hackett, and Catherine O'Hara as Calamity Jane.
Winchester Model 1873
Jonas Hackett (Stephen Lang) takes a Winchester Model 1873 rifle with him to the town meeting. Several Model 73 rifles are seen stacked on the wall at the town meeting. Jonas cocks it when he finds Daniel (Nick Stahl) and again when Stiles (Scott Glenn) and his gang arrive. Note: Having cocked it three times he has already ejected two live rounds. Most of Stiles gang members are armed with Model 73 rifles which are seen several times in the film. One of the farmers at the end is also seen with what appears to be a Model 73.
Double Barreled Shotgun
When the lighting strikes it glows the armory in the town hall where you can see a Double Barreled Shotgun to the far left. Some of the farmers at the end of the film are armed with Shotguns as well. One of Stiles (Scott Glenn) gang members is also seen with a Shotgun.
Henry 1860
You see a Henry rifle twice in the film. First being placed on a gun rack during the town meeting which is illuminated by the lightning. Second being fired at Pecos (Patrick Swayze) and Daniel (Nick Stahl) when they try to leave the lumber plant.
Merwin Hulbert
Pecos Bill (Patrick Swayze) carries two Merwin Hulbert revolvers as his weapon of choice in the film. He first uses them to shoot the gun out of Grub (John Ryan) hand and to shoot the trigger finger off of Zeb (Scott Wilson). He also fires at them while they run away when they inform him it's Wednesday not Sunday. Pecos later uses them to stop the saw at the lumber plant from sawing Daniel Hackett (Nick Stahl) in half. He last uses it to shoot the trigger fingers off of all of Stiles (Scott Glenn) gang members.
Sharps rifle
Grub (John Ryan) uses a Sharps rifle as his weapon of choice before having it shot out of his hand.
Colt 1851
Zeb (Scott Wilson) carries a Colt 1851 revolver as his weapon of choice before Pecos (Patrick Swayze) shoots his trigger finger off.
Single Action Army
A man at the lumber plant fires a Cavalry model Single Action Army at Daniel and Pecos when they ride off together. Calamity Jane (Catherine O'Hara) carries two nickel plated SAA's as Sheriff of Liberty City. A few of Stiles gang members are also armed with single Action Armys.
Mauser C/96
J.P. Stiles (Scott Glenn) carries two Mauser C/96 pistols as his weapon of choice. He uses them to hold up and then shoot Jonas Hackett (Stephen Lang). He aims them when the gang tries to escape Liberty City but can't get a shot off because he's out of range. He also uses it when taking the dead from Daniel Hackett (Nick Stahl). He last uses it when the mine is collapsing and he fires them akimbo at Daniel.
