1876 Winchester rifle similar to the one used in Tombstone .

Introduced by Winchester in 1876. A larger, stronger version of the 1873 Winchester. It was available in the following calibers: 40-60 WCF; 45-60 WCF; 45-77 WCF; 50-95 Express. It was manufactured in four different variations. Carbine, musket, sporting rifle and express rifle. It was manufactured and sold from 1876 - 1897. Approximately 64,000 were manufactured. The Model 1876 in 45-75 was carried by Canada's North-West Mounted Police (now the Royal Canadian Mounted Police - Canadian Mounties) for many years. This model is often referred to as the "Centennial".
