Mikhail Ivanovich Zharov (October 27, 1899 – December 15, 1981) was a prominent Soviet actor. He is best known for the roles in drama Road to Life (1931), historical movies Peter the Great (1938) and Ivan the Terrible (1942–44), and a thrilogy The Village Detective (1968-1978).
