Shouldn't the U.S. Marines be armed with the 6mm Lee rifle, rather than the Krag?  The Enfield looks a lot more like the Lee than does the Krag, so thinking it was intentional.  John Milius lamented the need to arm "his" Marines with Krags in the The Wind and the Lion, set at about the same time period as 55 Days.

U.S. Marines rifle circa 1900

Shouldn't the U.S. Marines be armed with the 6mm Lee rifle, rather than the Krag? The Enfield looks a lot more like the Lee than does the Krag, so thinking it was intentional. John Milius lamented the need to arm "his" Marines with Krags in the The Wind and the Lion, set at about the same time period as 55 Days.
