The Remingtons are two piece Cylinder Cartridge Pistols patterned on New Army,New Navy Models and Pocket Model Remingtons. These guns were originally made for the Cylinders not Cap & Ball, so they really aren't "Conversions" but Cartridge pistols that use the same pattern. The Cylinder requires removing, then taking off the back piece of the cylinder to load new cartridges. In the movie Clint removes the cylinder and replaces it with another, instead of loading new rounds into it. It's authentic, not a "Hollywood Invention".
