Kick-Ass is the 2010 feature film adaptation of the Mark Millar/John Romita, Jr. comic book series of the same name. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a nerdy high-school teenager who one day decides to fight crime as a masked superhero, despite his lack of powers, training, or any reason to do so. The film's cast included Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chloë Grace Moretz. The sequel Kick-Ass 2 was released in 2013.

The following weapons were used in the film Kick-Ass:

Heckler & Koch MP5KA4 - 9x19mm
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Hit-Girl loads an MP5KA4 (note the 3-round burst), but she never uses it during the final shootout at D'Amico's place. She definitely needed it because during the shootout she runs out of ammo from her two handguns and resorted to using the guns from D'Amico's men.

Other

Prop rotary guns

Dave Lizewski aka "Kick-Ass" (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) uses two rotary multi-barreled guns which are basically tiny GE M134 Miniguns, mounted on a jetpack, during the final shootout. These are custom built props utilizing special effects to enable the gunfire and flashes in the film.

Fake Mk 153 SMAW

A mockup of a Mk 153 SMAW, referred to throughout the film as a "bazooka", is used by Huge Goon (Stu "Large" Riley) during the final shootout. The trigger/firing mechanism looks like the frame of an H&K Mk 23 pistol mated to the lower receiver of an H&K MP5 submachine gun. Many other details differ from the real weapon upon close inspection.

In the marketing run up to the film's release, there are series of very cool posters featuring each of the superheroes individually. This poster was the solo teaser poster in the months prior to the release of the film.
