Originally released for the DS in 2007, Dementium: The Ward is a first-person survival horror game developed by Renegade Kid, it was later remastered for the 3DS in 2015 with this version having a port to the Switch in 2023.

The remastered version improved visuals; removed the infamous infinite respawning enemies, added extra difficulty modes and a save system and made it so all the firearms need to be reloaded like the second game. (In the DS version, every Firearm holds a large amount of ammunition without reloading.)

It was followed by a sequel Dementium II

The following weapons appear in the video game Dementium: The Ward:

Beretta Cougar Inox

The Beretta Cougar Inox is obtained from a man the player finds on the Hospital's roof as he drops it after being killed in a cutscene.

It's the weapon with the most "awkward" ammo count as the player holds 24 bullets for it in the original DS version and when the remaster added reloading, these old maximum ammo values were just converted to the amount of reserve ammo however the remastered pistol holds 15 bullets meaning the player can only perform a full reload once from maximum reserve ammo.

Revolver

A ".357 Revolver" appears as one of the game's weapons and unsurprisingly holds 6 bullets before reloading in the remaster. It's taken off-screen briefly to reload it meaning it's actually the fastest to reload weapon in the game.
