Sheriff Walt Longmire ([[Robert Taylor (II)|Robert Taylor]]) carries a [[Colt Government Model]] with custom stag grips for his duty sidearm. Unlike most men who choose to carry the M1911, Walt chooses to carry in Condition 2 (mag inserted, round chambered, hammer uncocked) which most M1911 users do not recommend for safety reasons.

Season 4 of Longmire was its first on Netflix after being cancelled by A&E. Like all Netflix series, the entire season dropped all at once, on September 10th, 2015, allowing fans to binge watch. The season picks up right where Season 3 left off, with Walt and Branch stumbling upon who had ordered the murder of Walt's wife.
The first few episodes deals with the death of Branch, hinted at in the final moments of the Season 3 finale. Another arc begins mid-season with the rape of a Cheyenne girl by oil workers, introducing the audience to recurring antagonist Walker Browning, played by Callum Keith Rennie. The audience is also introduced to Dr. Donna Sue Monahan (Ally Walker), who Walt awkwardly begins a relationship with, Eamonn O'Neill (Josh Cooke), a Cumberland County deputy temporarily loaned to Walt after Branch's death, and Zachary Heflin (Barry Sloane), a new deputy hired to take Branch's place.
The following weapons were used in Season 4 of the television series Longmire:
Gabriella "Gab" Langton (Julia Jones) uses a Bond Arms Derringer loaded with a .410 shot shell in "Hector Lives" (S04E08). Henry picks it up later. It's later identified as a "Snake Slayer," but the unique grips identify it as a "Ranger II."

Deputy Victoria 'Vic' Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) carries a Glock 19 for her duty sidearm. Greg Collette (Brendan Fehr) uses one in "Help Wanted" (S04E05).
Mitch Dye (Keith Andreen) carries a Savage 99 in "The Calling Back" (S04E06). A Crow Man (Indio Hock) is armed with one in "What Happens on the Rez..." (S04E10).
