SIG-Sauer P229
All the Secret Service Agents including Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) carry the SIG-Sauer P229 as their standard sidearms. The agents use this weapon in a .357 Sig round. There is also a blooper when Dennis Quaid is seen never reloading, and firing the gun dozens of times.  The gun only holds 13 rounds; 12 in the magazine, and 1 in the chamber.
Vantage Point is a 2008 action thriller that follows the events surrounding an assassination attempt on the US President Henry Ashton (William Hurt), while making a speech in Salamanca, Spain promoting a treaty to fight international terrorism.  This is seen in the film from the varying viewpoints of those who witnessed the attempt, including Global News Network producer Rex Brooks (Sigourney Weaver), United States Secret Service Agents Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox), American tourist Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), Spanish police officer Enrique (Eduardo Noriega), deadly terrorists Suarez (Saïd Taghmaoui) and Veronica (Ayelet Zurer), and blackmailed former special forces member Javier (Edgar Ramirez). Due to principal filming being done in Mexico City, a number of the firearms in the film (notably the Beretta 92FS pistols) are blank-firing only replicas instead of blank-converted registered firearms, likely due to lack of availability.

The most commonly used gun in the film is the Beretta 92FS pistol, seen carried by Spanish police officer Enrique (Eduardo Noriega), as well as all of the terrorists in the film. USSS Agent Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) is curiously seen using a Beretta as his sidearm, instead of the correct SIG-Sauer P229 pistol typically issued to Secret Service. Many of the Berettas appear to be Bruni Model 92 8mm stage firing blank replicas. Many of them have the proper Beretta logo grips though, so they could have been installed on the props, or actual Berettas may have been used depending on location of filming.

Vantage Point (2008)

The following weapons were used in the film Vantage Point:

The issued sidearm of USSS agent Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) is an older model SIG-Sauer P229 pistol chambered in 9x19mm, instead of the correct .357 SIG ammunition chambered for the real life USSS SIG pistols.
