Nic Vos' (Tim Robbins) sidearm is Vektor Z88, A South African copy of the Beretta 92FS, which he uses several times in the film. The appearance of the Z88 is anachronistic. The story takes place in the early 1980's and the actual pistol was not adopted by the South African military until 1988.
