	Is vigilantism against immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexican border something that has ever occurred? I've read articles of ranchers "detaining" immigrants for border patrol, and watched a documentary on the Arizona Border Recon (a militia group that intercepts drug cartel activity and turns over cartel members to law enforcement). 	You missed the most obvious reason. The production was cheapskates or ignorant about guns, so they procured a weapon that was NOT blank adapted and had to do it that way to cycle the blanks.
