Major William Lennox ([[Josh Duhamel]]), CMSgt. Bobby Epps ([[Tyrese Gibson]]), and Captain Graham ([[Matthew Marsden]]) can be seen holding [[M16 rifle series#M4/M4A1 Carbine|M4A1 carbines]] as their main weapon in the film. Apparently all the M4s as well as other weapons used by NEST were dressed up to give them a bit more of a futuristic look to them, A lot of them are seen with Magpul PMAG polymer magazines and appear to be modified to use special Sabot ammo as was stated in the first ''[[Transformers]]'' to be the only type of ammunition that can do any damage to the Decepticons. Among the accessories seen on the M4's include Magpul CTR & LMT SOPMOD Stocks, Surefire Universal weaponlights, EOTech red dot sights, and AN/PVS-17 night-vision scopes. Other U.S. military personnel can be seen using regular M4A1's with varying accessories including ACOG scopes, C-More red dot sights, Surefire Universal weaponlights, and RIS foregrips.

Movie armorer [[User:Phoenixent|Steve Karnes]] had the following to say about the film thread on our discussion forum. "You missed the hand held Dillon M134DT Titanium Minigun with a carbon fiber backpack ammo box with power source. I designed and built the hand hold mount for the Minigun. It's a different set up than the old style used in ''[[Terminator 2: Judgment Day]]''. The set up for ''Transformers 2'' is the same one we used in ''[[G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra|G.I. Joe]]'' except it was a standard M134 and not the Titanium model."

Notice how the soldier is resting his hand FLAT behind the shotgun attachment. Any realize that shell casings are coming out, but no 30-round magazine? Hmm... using smaller magazines isn't very combatant. Plus, this might be a prop reused from movies "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", "Terminator: Salvation", and "The One". But that's my guess.

===N.E.S.T.===
There really is a N.E.S.T. in the U.S. It stands for '''Nuclear Emergency Support Team''' and it is not a fighting force but has lots of scientists and bomb disposal experts. N.E.S.T. usually counts on elite units from the various branches to help it with any fights or defensive postures. It is a unit of the U.S. Department of Energy and deals mostly with detecting, controlling and deactivating nuclear devices or threats on U.S. Soil. In the films ''[[Broken Arrow]]'' and ''[[The Peacemaker]]'', N.E.S.T. is referred to by its older name '''Nuclear Emergency Search Team''', but within the last ten years the name was changed. The "N.E.S.T." seen in the movie may be a different group with the same acronym (or a fictional upgrade of the existing NEST, being that the Allspark, the Autobots and the Decepticons all emanate at least some levels of radiation).

===N.E.S.T. Island Base===
One of the main reasons why N.E.S.T, a US run special operations unit would allow British Special Forces into their ranks not only because they are one of the few foreign nations in which the US have had good special operations history with, but because of the island in which N.E.S.T's base is stationed on. The island, which is actually a live US Naval Base called Diego Garcia, was given to the US by the British for lease. Keeping the secret of the Autobots residing on the island from the British would not have lasted long, so in good faith payment I suspect the US government allowed the British to have their own Special Forces teams within N.E.S.T.; which would make sense because in several of the battle scenes it depicts British Special Forces like the SAS involved. In exchange the British would allow the US military to have full operation control of N.E.S.T. and the secret of the Autobots existence to be safe.

In many ways the island that N.E.S.T. is based in is probably the most sound and logical place for a secretive Special Ops/Autobot Task Force. Diego Garcia is in the middle of the Indian Ocean, far away from any modern city which contains curious reporters, journalists, as well as pesky nerdy conspiracy theorists. And because it is an island with water on all four sides, and its waters patroled by a heavily armed US Naval Task Force it would be literally impossible for any trespassers to sneak onto the island to collect evidence about the existence of the Autobots. That is unless you are a Decepticon as shown in the movie.

===S.A.S.===
the SAS(Special Air Service) soldiers are seen wearing their sand coloured berets in combat, which in real life would not happen. The sand beret is reserved only for ceremonial occasions and parades, and is substituted with either a "giggle" hat (known as a "boonie hat" in the US) or a helmet when in the field, same as with US military headwear regulations.

There really is a N.E.S.T. in the U.S. It stands for '''Nuclear Emergency Support Team''' and it is not a fighting force but has lots of scientists and bomb disposal experts. N.E.S.T. usually counts on elite units from the various branches to help it with any fights or defensive postures. It is a unit of the U.S. Department of Energy and deals mostly with detecting, controlling and deactivating nuclear devices or threats on U.S. Soil. In the films ''[[Broken Arrow]]'' and ''[[The Peacemaker]]'', N.E.S.T. is referred to by its older name '''Nuclear Emergency Search Team''', but within the last ten years the name was changed. The "N.E.S.T." seen in the movie may be a different group with the same acronym (or a fictional upgrade of the existing NEST, being that the Allspark, the Autobots and the Decepticons all emanate at least some levels of radiation).

===N.E.S.T. Island Base===
One of the main reasons why N.E.S.T, a US run special operations unit would allow British Special Forces into their ranks not only because they are one of the few foreign nations in which the US have had good special operations history with, but because of the island in which N.E.S.T's base is stationed on. The island, which is actually a live US Naval Base called Diego Garcia, was given to the US by the British for lease. Keeping the secret of the Autobots residing on the island from the British would not have lasted long, so in good faith payment I suspect the US government allowed the British to have their own Special Forces teams within N.E.S.T.; which would make sense because in several of the battle scenes it depicts British Special Forces like the SAS involved. In exchange the British would allow the US military to have full operation control of N.E.S.T. and the secret of the Autobots existence to be safe.

In many ways the island that N.E.S.T. is based in is probably the most sound and logical place for a secretive Special Ops/Autobot Task Force. Diego Garcia is in the middle of the Indian Ocean, far away from any modern city which contains curious reporters, journalists, as well as pesky nerdy conspiracy theorists. And because it is an island with water on all four sides, and its waters patroled by a heavily armed US Naval Task Force it would be literally impossible for any trespassers to sneak onto the island to collect evidence about the existence of the Autobots. That is unless you are a Decepticon as shown in the movie.

===S.A.S.===
the SAS(Special Air Service) soldiers are seen wearing their sand coloured berets in combat, which in real life would not happen. The sand beret is reserved only for ceremonial occasions and parades, and is substituted with either a "giggle" hat (known as a "boonie hat" in the US) or a helmet when in the field, same as with US military headwear regulations.

There really is a N.E.S.T. in the U.S. It stands for '''Nuclear Emergency Support Team''' and it is not a fighting force but has lots of scientists and bomb disposal experts. N.E.S.T. usually counts on elite units from the various branches to help it with any fights or defensive postures. It is a unit of the U.S. Department of Energy and deals mostly with detecting, controlling and deactivating nuclear devices or threats on U.S. Soil. In the films ''[[Broken Arrow]]'' and ''[[The Peacemaker]]'', N.E.S.T. is referred to by its older name '''Nuclear Emergency Search Team''', but within the last ten years the name was changed. The "N.E.S.T." seen in the movie may be a different group with the same acronym (or a fictional upgrade of the existing NEST, being that the Allspark, the Autobots and the Decepticons all emanate at least some levels of radiation).

===N.E.S.T. Island Base===
One of the main reasons why N.E.S.T, a US run special operations unit would allow British Special Forces into their ranks not only because they are one of the few foreign nations in which the US have had good special operations history with, but because of the island in which N.E.S.T's base is stationed on. The island, which is actually a live US Naval Base called Diego Garcia, was given to the US by the British for lease. Keeping the secret of the Autobots residing on the island from the British would not have lasted long, so in good faith payment I suspect the US government allowed the British to have their own Special Forces teams within N.E.S.T.; which would make sense because in several of the battle scenes it depicts British Special Forces like the SAS involved. In exchange the British would allow the US military to have full operation control of N.E.S.T. and the secret of the Autobots existence to be safe.

In many ways the island that N.E.S.T. is based in is probably the most sound and logical place for a secretive Special Ops/Autobot Task Force. Diego Garcia is in the middle of the Indian Ocean, far away from any modern city which contains curious reporters, journalists, as well as pesky nerdy conspiracy theorists. And because it is an island with water on all four sides, and its waters patroled by a heavily armed US Naval Task Force it would be literally impossible for any trespassers to sneak onto the island to collect evidence about the existence of the Autobots. That is unless you are a Decepticon as shown in the movie.

===S.A.S.===
the SAS(Special Air Service) soldiers are seen wearing their sand coloured berets in combat, which in real life would not happen. The sand beret is reserved only for ceremonial occasions and parades, and is substituted with either a "giggle" hat (known as a "boonie hat" in the US) or a helmet when in the field, same as with US military headwear regulations.

A heavily modified Smith & Wesson L-Frame revolver (likely a 586 but most probably a Model 10) is portrayed as the standard ''Colonial'' sidearm in the mini-series and the first season. Among other features the weapon has an under barrel explosive launcher (like the old LeMat ''grapeshot'' barrel,) although the explosive launcher was never used onscreen. The Miniseries version had hardly any real functionality and was redesigned almost from scratch for Season 1 when scripts required more specific actions with the guns. After that it was redesigned again and, starting with the early second season, the original sidearms have been nearly completely replaced by the FN Five-seveN. These guns were inconvenient as they had to be disassembled before they could be reloaded. They later returned during the flashback scenes in "Razor."

The gun was intentionally designed to look like Harrison Ford's gun in [[Blade Runner#LAPD 2019 blaster|Blade Runner]] as an homage, but also to emphasize that like ''[[Blade Runner]]'', this isn't a "future show with laser-guns" but uses realistic, projectile-firing guns. Coincidentally, [[Edward James Olmos]] stars in ''Battlestar Galactica'', but he also played the mysterious police officer Gaff in ''Blade Runner''.

The attachments for the weapons (flashlight, red dot sight) are somewhat the norm for the "real world" the only difference being the attachment of a suppressor which seems to be more for dramatic effect than anything else, though may have been used to disguise the use of PS90 semi-automatic civilian models. For some reason this weapon was never fired on screen and was then replaced with the Cx4 Storm most likely because of the Stargate series also filmed in the same location. We can still see P90s in the background but were overshadowed by the Cx4s.

Seen in flashbacks and in the special features on the first season DVDs is this British bullpup design. The weapons in the show themselves are minus the optical sights and have the whole lower receiver and muzzle guard painted white indicating they may only be used for ceremonial purposes.

In the Season 2 episodes "Resistance" and "The Farm", a couple of SA80s with the SUSAT scope are seen in the hands of the resistance fighters on Caprica, suggesting that the SA80 is a standard issue rifle in the Colonial military.

Not clear what the exact weapon is but it may have been a folding stock ''Norinco 84'' given the shape of the magazine making it a 5.56mm weapon and not a 7.62mmx39. A Norinco Type 84 rifle was seen in the hands of a resistance fighter on Caprica in the Season 2 episode "Lay Down Your Burdens: Part 2"

A modified version of a Remington 700 is seen in the hands of a resistance fighter on Caprica. This particular weapon has a telescopic sight and is fitted with a Choate Ultimate Sniper/Target riflestock with a bipod.

(not the exact weapon from the series but a close approximation---- No it isn't. That's likely an Accuracy International rifle. Nothing to do with Remington. A slight addition to this is that the weapon pictured is in fact a Remington 700 in an Accuracy Intl. AICS stock.)

Having owned one before, I will tell you this, the original author is correct and the contributor inside the parenthesis is not. This is in fact a Choate Ultimate Sniper/Target stock. You can tell by the cheek rest, thumb hole and the triangular area towards the front of the stock

=== Seburo MN-23 ===

In the Miniseries, the Colonial security personnel on Galactica are armed with a bullpup assault rifle. It bears a resemblance to a short-barreled FAMAS with a Picatinny rail mount. This rifle was actually designed by Masamune Shirow for the Dominion: Conflict comic series, and is known as the Seburo MN-23. No known working model of this gun has been seen, so odds are during the mini-series they were the airsoft props with added flashlights. Obviously since this weapon doesn't fire or technical crew changed their minds to the Cx4, this weapon along with the Raisen only appeared briefly during one scene on the Ragnar station during the mini-series. We can assume this rifle is a standard weapon for security personnel onboard Galactica as oppose to what the Marines carry.

=== CQB TYPE-0 "RAISEN" ===

The weapon possessed by Leoben Conoy (a Number 2) at Ragnar Station is a fictional variant of the AR-15, known as the Close Quarters Battle Weapon Type Zero, aka the "Raisen". It is a model gun designed by Poseidon Industries of Japan, a company that also makes the Seburo MN-23. In the Mini-series, Leoben's Raisen had a flashlight, sling and sight attachment to it. It is most likely a non firing prop since no known working model of the Raisen has even been seen to my knowledge. Obviously since this weapon doesn't fire or technical crew changed their minds to the Cx4, this weapon along with the MN-23 only appeared briefly during one scene on the Ragnar station during the mini-series.

In addition to clothes and a vehicle, the Terminator ([[Arnold Schwarzenegger]]) procures a [[Remington 870 Shotgun|Remington 870]] shotgun with a high-capacity magazine tube, custom foregrip, and heat shield from the roadhouse he appears near. The Shotgun is also outfitted with the U.S.M.C.-style tube support clamp. This clamp usually has an M7 bayonet lug on it when used by the U.S. Marines, but Arnold's version has no bayonet lug. He then uses the shotgun during the first encounter with the T-X at the veterinary clinic and in the ensuing car chase.

A [[Glock#Glock 18|Glock 18]] makes several appearances in the movie, first seen being loaded with a high-capacity magazine during the cemetery scene by the Terminator ([[Arnold Schwarzenegger]]). The Terminator "Mexican" carries it when loading the other weapons from the hearst to the table by the recreational vehicle while the trio are en-route to CRS. Once more at Crystal Peak when Connor ([[Nick Stahl]]) fires it to ensure there's no Skynet-controlled machines lying in wait, and then when Connor is trying to hold off the T-X while Katherine tries to get the blast door open.

One of the weapons in the coffin taken from the cemetery is an [[Heckler & Koch UMP]] with the stock removed and fitted with a C-More red dot sight. It is first seen being set on a table prior to the recreational vehicle being commandeered, and again when the Terminator engages the T-X at CRS. It works extremely well (for a submachine gun) on the T-X: knocking it to the ground probably due to the rapid succession of large .45 caliber rounds. Where as we see time and time again-fire from 9mm [[Heckler & Koch MP5]]'s, even multiple guns firing simultaneously, do little more than strip the biological covering as the Terminator advances at almost normal pace.

== Browning M1919 ==

During the cemetery scene, the Terminator is seen using a [[Browning M1919]] machine gun fitted with a drum magazine as well as a shoulder strap and special side-mounted trigger to allow him to fire the weapon one-handed from the hip. He uses the weapon to lay down covering fire on the SWAT officers, and just as in ''[[Terminator 2: Judgement Day]]'', the damage is limited to the assembled police cars, with the SWAT officers not taking a single hit from the barrage. The director notes that [[Arnold Schwarzenegger]] was able to handle Browning M1919 with no help other than the strap. But the coffin despite being a lightweight built one still weighed a few hundred pounds, so cables were attached to ease the handling.

Yet another weapon the Terminator gets from the coffin is a Sage Control SL-6 Rotary Launcher fitted with a C-More red dot sight and a bandoleer of 37mm grenades for it. The launcher is first seen being inspected after being taken from the coffin, then being used by the Terminator to knock the T-X through a wall and down a shaft before remarking that "she'll be back". For some reason, the grenades don't explode on impact with the T-X - They are most likely phosphorus grenade rounds, used commonly for well armored targets.

When the Terminator opens Sarah Connor's coffin and finds weapons you either see it in there or see it pulled out which include: a Browning M1919 with drum magazine, a machine pistol (MPi) variant of a Glock 18, one Glock 19, a belt of 40mm grenades, RPG rounds, one Norinco Type 69 RPG, a Ithaca 37 "Stakeout", .50 caliber rounds, a Custom version of the AKMS, an L6 grenade launcher, one Heckler & Koch G36K and one Heckler & Koch UMP.

Which begs the question: why in movie Arsenals have they guns, but no extra ammo? Having spare ammunition would actually make sense. But it's Hollywood. Unlimited ammunition.

There's also two Beta-C Drum Magazines in the lower-right corner of the pic. Now, why the Terminator did not use those when facing the T-X in the Military Air Base is beyond me.
