Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise that is currently in development by Treyarch and set for release on November 13, 2012. Despite what the name suggest this new title appears to not be a direct sequel to the first Black Ops as it takes place in the future in the year 2025.

The game was officially revealed through a reveal trailer that debuted on May 1, 2012.

The following guns and pictures are taken from the official reveal trailer.

Taurus Raging Judge
A Taurus Raging Judge, is seen in the Multiplayer Trailer. It uses the Colt Python's sounds from Black Ops, but this might be a placeholder. Judging by the limited view of the cylinder it appears to be the cancelled 28 gauge version.

[[File:Taurus Raging Judge XXVII.jpg|thumb|400px|none|Taurus Raging Judge XXVIII - 28 gauge. This was a prototype for the Raging Judge chambered in 28 gauge shotshells unveiled in 2011. David Mason is seen loading a handgun that appears to be based off the TDI Kard pistol while inside a vehicle. Another soldier is seen firing a similar pistol. It is called the KAP-40 in the E3 demo and the Gamescom multiplayer demo confirmed it would have an incorrect full auto firing mode and like most weapons in the game will have green furniture.
"PDW-57"
This fictional submachine gun bears a strong resemblance to the P90, and is probably intended to represent a "futurised" version of it. It uses a very similar polycarbonate box magazine, but rather than being inserted from the top of the weapon it pivots at the front and swings out the the left-hand side.

M1216
The SRM Arms Model 1216 is seen in the multiplayer trailer. The weapon is unique in that the magazine is a tube containing four stacks of shotgun shells, and the tube must be manually rotated after one stack is emptied. The M1216 appears to shoot four shells at a time, indicating the 16 shell variant (4 tubes of 4).
The Remington 870 MCS with a saddler shell holder, a different rear sight, a sling warped around it like the Stakeout from the first game, and an attachment called "Long Barrel" will be available. == AK Variant ==
During the horse riding (Yes, horse riding) sequence of the first trailer, a rider can be seen gripping an unknown AK variant. On a closer examination of the screenshot, the proportions of the AK's magazine and lack of flash hider seem to imply it's a same WASR-2 inspired conglomerate as is the one in the first game
AN-94
Two generic Middle Eastern terrorists are seen being blown away by an explosion while still holding on to their AN-94 assault rifles in the premiere trailer. Seems that in Black Ops universe Russia has decided to start exporting the assault rifle by 2025. Later release gameplay demos show the rifle will have green furniture.
Heckler & Koch XM8
Multiple soldiers in the reveal are seen wielding weapons which appear to be Heckler & Koch XM8s with short handguards and thick carrying handles seemingly based on one used by the M41A Pulse Rifle in Aliens. They use a railed carrying handle and have a railed handguard with rail covers rather than the PCAP accessory system used by the US version. In real life this configuration is used on Malaysian XM8s, though given the series' common use of airsoft weapons as references it is far more likely this was based on a rail-equipped airsoft gun. It is said to have an incorrect 32 round capacity. It is referred to in-game as the "M8A1".
The pickup symbol of the "Type 95" appeared in the E3 demo, most likely being the same QBZ-97 with 95-style trigger guard seen in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3". However, it has not since made any appearances in any trailers, and the same pickup was later used for the "Type 25" rifle, so it is likely that the "Type 95" was a placeholder name for it, and that it will not appear in-game along with the Type 25.
The Storm PSR is a fictional anti-material rifle fitted with an x-ray scope to view targets through solid barriers. On the side of the weapon, it indicates that this uses Metal Storm technology; this is confirmed by the fact that the reloading animation has the player insert a single stack of bullets into the rear of the weapon (as Metal Storm technology uses superposed ammunition).
I've been collecting S&W revolvers for several years. S&W has always been a very organized company with outstanding records. Better organized company in so many aspects. In the past couple of years I've gotten into Colt revolvers and I've learned that getting information about the various Colt handguns is very challenging. For most of it's history Colt was rather scatter-shot in it's approach. For example they would have different models use the same serial number range (Official Police and .38 spl Officer Model Target pre-WWII), but the Pre-WWII Officer Model Target .22LR had it's own serial numbers. Why? Who knows? Other models (such as the Theur derringer) would be made for decades and Colt has little to no written records about the models. For example the serial numbers will not tell you what year an individual derringer was made. And then you have the Official Police model and it's variants. Over 700,000 made over a seventy year period. Very challenging. I like the colt double action revolvers, but I can see why colt has almost gone out of business and S&W is still prospering. Hopefully Colt's fairly new management can fix things. --Jcordell 17:37, 27 December 2011 (CST)
The gun manufacturers template is cool except when you get into clones like the M16 series, 1911 Pistols, Colt SAA Revolvers and others. Not sure how to worked that problem as it is a large one.--Steve
1911 categories
I think these pages are turning out well, good job. One modification that I would suggest though (for both the pages and the template) is reversing the order of the categories. I think the "Standard" guns should really go first because, as the name implies, they are the standard gun and are also probably the most common. I would put the order as "Standard", "Long", "Compact", "Subcompact". Also, I'm not sure about how the Colt variants are categorised on the template. I think they should just be split on size like the other manufacturers for a few reasons. First, it would then be a standard and look better. Secondly, the modern thing is kind of screwed up, with the 80 Combat Elite being from the same time as the regular series 80, and the National Match going back to the Series 70 guns. Also the Military/Governemnt differentiation seems a bit pointless to me, as I would imaging that most of the guns that actually appear in media are based on the civillian guns and the majority of the M1911A1 ID's are actually wrong. To be honest, I think there is a case that the M1919A1, Government and Series 70 sections could probably be merged, as they are the same gun with no visible external differences unless you get a really good look at the markings. --commando552 16:11, 16 June 2012 (CDT)
:So how you want to do this template? Include only true AK-pattern guns (like on wikipedia), or include guns like the VSS too, which only look like AK variants, but in reality have nothing to do with that design? --bozitojugg3rn4ut 14:06, 26 June 2012 (CDT)

I would separate them along similar lines as the AK gallers, with "Soviet manufactured Kalashnikov pattern firearms" "Foreign manufactured Kalashnikov pattern firearms" "Firearms derived from the Kalashnikov" and "Firearms visually resembling the Kalashnikov". First section would be the russian weapons, separated into assault rifles, carbines, machine guns and sniper rifles. Then next section would be split up by country. Not sure whether to split each section by weapon type or not, would need to play it by ear depending on how many you were ending up with. If not splitting by type, could put the weapon type in brackets after the name. It gets a bit tricky when you get into AK derived, and visually resembling the AK as there can be a fine line. For example, the I would put the SVD in the visually similar, as it shares no parts with the AK and has a different operating system. However the visually similar FPK/PSL is derived from the RPK, so would go in the AK derivatives section. Stuff like the Valmet (and hence the Galil and Vektor rifles) would go in the derivatives section, as although not of the AK pattern they are a modification to the design. But that's just my opinion on how it should be broken down. --commando552 15:23, 26 June 2012 (CDT)
Yes, it did, but I think it sort of sets a bad precedent for some new user to start a page with one line as his first edit and have the rest of us build it unto a full page. (It was literally one line.) But oh well, what's done is done. As for the templates, I have to admit, I'm not sure I know what I'm doing with them. :Sure, if you tell me what's missing. I do not currently have access to the game disc right now, but at last count the page was, in my view, essentially finished--all the ingame weapons had both 3rd-person and 1st Person views, and had (where possible) references to the real-life weapons they were based on. "Not getting pissed?" Thankfully, not everyone is subject to the online disinhibition effect. Courtesy and civility cost absolutely nothing to produce, have, or give, so why not give generously until you have good reason to do otherwise? And as for the weapons, what were you expecting, a stake launcher? The game is (as I outlined in the wiki entry's introduction) an out-and-out homage to the silent film Nosferatu, and like its parent novel Dracula, the game's weaponry is based around those used by old-fashioned vampire hunters before they became modern pop culture icons (like Constantine, Van Helsing, and Hellsing). The 4 firearms already listed are the only ones in the game, and you can confirm this by checking out an FAQ for the game or a video walkthrough. The rest of the ingame weapons are religious paraphernalia or melee weaponry, such as a Crucifix, a totally overpowered Holy Water Chalice (which you can refill by blessing a tub of water with your Crucifix), a Cane Sword, and your character's own two fists. Call it the limitations of a budget title if you want, but I think this helps to maintain the authenticity of the "old-fashioned" nature of the title, right down to the old-fashioned film grain effect and "film scratches" you can sometimes see.

As for putting photos of the actual guns in this wiki entry, there is a small problem with that. While there is an entry for generic Flintlock Pistols I could select a photo from, there is no equivalent entry for generic Flintlock Muskets, and the ingame one doesn't look like any of those musket entries already on the site. Could a disambiguation page that listed all the musket variants be created? Is there anything else on the laundry list of things that need to be done for this game's wiki page?
make sure the images which are obviously personal snapshots of members own guns (not the professional pics that I take but backyard stuff) is NOT being used in the forums before you delete them. Though I don't do it, other members (including other Mods like MT2008 and Bunni) uploaded personal gun pics for use in their profiles and on some of the forum threads. This is allowed and doesn't happen very often. But if the pic only appears in the forum, it WON'T appear as being used on the IMFDB site itself. See thats the thing I have already signed up for the forum but every time I try to start a new thread the site tells me "Mr.Ice, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation." I've been waiting for the activation for a few weeks and there is nothing. I'm not sure whats wrong. Mr.Ice 11:28, 19 July 2012 (CDT)
Redirects are certainly nice, and are preferred, and users certainly shouldn't swap them out for long links like Heartbreakkid (or whatever his name was) did, but it does seem like a lot for a new user to absorb.

The Nosferatu page
Hi there, I was the creator of the Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi page. I noticed that you recently nuked it and left a note saying "Creator refuses to finish . . . " I haven't abandoned the IMFDB by any means, but have been busy with real life thus far. Maybe you could tell me what specifically was wrong with it? Last I worked on the page, it was essentially complete by the IMFDB standards of the time. Have they drastically changed in the meantime? --Mazryonh 01:13, 28 June 2012 (CDT)

:Sure, if you tell me what's missing. I do not currently have access to the game disc right now, but at last count the page was, in my view, essentially finished--all the ingame weapons had both 3rd-person and 1st Person views, and had (where possible) references to the real-life weapons they were based on. What's missing from the page according to the IMFDB standards now? --Mazryonh 03:39, 28 June 2012 (CDT)

In the future, you could always do the courtesy of contacting the creators of small "niche pages" with obvious effort put into them before resorting to the nuke. After all, courtesy costs nothing. --Mazryonh 23:29, 29 June 2012 (CDT)
make sure the images which are obviously personal snapshots of members own guns (not the professional pics that I take but backyard stuff) is NOT being used in the forums before you delete them. That is why I never deleted obviously personal gun pics because 99% of them are used in the member's profile pages on the forums or in forum threads.

Redirects
It makes sense to me, but it may be a bit over the heads of new users. When I first came on, I don't think I would've understood. Redirects are certainly nice, and are preferred, and users certainly shouldn't swap them out for long links like Heartbreakkid (or whatever his name was) did, but it does seem like a lot for a new user to absorb. Maybe we should just say that redirects are preferred. There's enough of us old-timers who can fix them for noobs as they come. --Funkychinaman 17:22, 19 July 2012 (CDT)
I noticed that on your to do list you have the idea to automatically change incomplete tags to nuke after x number of days. If you are still intending on doing this, can I suggest that it might be more suitable to replace the no effort tag with the nuke after a time period. A page can have the incomplete tag if there are screen caps missing for a few guns but that doesn't mean it deserves to be nuked. The no effort tag should have a time limit though as it is used on pages that do not currently meet the minimum standard. --commando552 15:26, 23 July 2012 (CDT)
I'm not sure why MPM2008 isn't responding to your post but you have my approval to go ahead and re-create the page for Trailer Park Boys but only if you are going to do it properly. You need to read the Rules, Standards and Principles because the images you have uploaded thus far don't cut it. This one for example:
You need to make sure you give the file a proper name. ".jpg" shouldnt be in there twice. Also, you need to remove the black bars from the image before you upload it. YOU BLANKED THE PAGE! WAHOOOO! Now it will load! :-) SO quick question for ya. What are the rules governing whether a fictional weapon gets its own page? I read the info on IMFDB Info: Fictional Firearms and it makes perfect sense, but it seems more about whether the gun is mentioned on the site or not. I'm particularly curious about the (America's Army 3) - Grenade Series. These grenades are used in 1 video game and are clearly based on real world grenades. It seems to me that they don't need to have their own page if they are just used in this one game. I fixed the SVD page a while back; someone had changed the caption on your image of the Tiger Carbine you own to claim it was an SVD-M a couple of years back. What I'm curious about is the one we have labelled as SVD-S at present; is that one a Tiger Carbine too (as it was orginally captioned)? :Unhelpful political commentary which has nothing to do with improving a page does not belong. Unless you can explain why saying America "trembles before China" has anything to do with improving the page "1968 Tunnel Rats" or serves any purpose but annoying people, I'll say it's trolling and doesn't belong. ==Boss Warning==
There are at least 5 other models in episode 2; I simply haven't had time yet to finish making it. I've never made a page that I didn't know for certain would qualify, and this is no exception. I've been here a while and you've seen how much care I put into pages that I make, so please message me on my talk page next time you feel the need to warn me about something (so as not to tempt other users to interfere with my work unnecessarily). Also, I'm pretty sure that seeing as the MGC guns are generally regarded as one of the "high quality" models alluded to in #4 and it only says that the one real firearm rule applies if the rest are considered "obvious toy or airsoft gun(s)" (which the MGCs are not) that the page would still qualify even if there were no other guns in the show.--PistolJunkie 10:56, 2 May 2012 (CDT)
:But I just explained why it could qualify according to rule #4. My problem is that by leaving a warning like that (when I've shown on numerous occasions to put a great amount of care into a page and I placed the "under construction" banner at the top) you posted that warning on that talk page which could inadvertently encourage other users to make unnecessary changes (which usually consists of adding in listing for guns with no screencaps to back them up) or possibly even causing another admin to see the warning, assume the page doesn't qualify, and delete it while cleaning house. I'm not "butthurt", I'm just irritated that your first reaction to an incomplete and obviously under-construction page was to post a large warning in the talk page instead of sending it to me. It'd be one thing if I was a new user with no history here, but I've made dozens of pages and hold my work to a fairly high standard. Most if it tends to be fairly obscure stuff, so I know that the odds of another user doing it properly are pretty low.--PistolJunkie 17:37, 2 May 2012 (CDT)
Common Mistakes
What is the rule here? I want to make sure I get it right. Is there a golden number after which they SHOULD be categorized? I just keep coming across pages with 20-30 guns and no categories. (24 - Season 8 for example). I would appreciate your feedback, I want to get this right... --Zackmann08 17:30, 7 May 2012 (CDT)
Infoboxes
Hey. So first off, a disclaimer, I am posting the following message for each of the Admins so don't think I'm spamming. Just want to get input from all of you. I have been working on a number of infoboxes for different pages (Template:Infobox Movie, Template:Infobox TV, Template:Infobox Video Game). I have already gotten some help from Bunni who installed an additional add-on to facilitate the templates. I would love to get some feedback from you (and other admins) regarding these. Do you like the format? Are there things you would like changed? Should additional information be added? The nice thing is that with the add-on that Bunni installed, you do not have to provide all the information for the infobox. Any variables left blank will simply not be printed.

Finally, I would like to see how you feel about my adding these to pages. I have gotten positive feedback from a number of users (including at least 3 admins) but before I add this to more than a dozen or so pages (which I have done for testing purposes) I want to really get full permission. I know that sweeping changes are a MAJOR no-no without full admin approval. Check out the thread in the forum (http://forum.imfdb.org/showthread.php?t=1942). I look forward to hearing your feedback! :-) --Zackmann08 11:17, 9 May 2012 (CDT)
Crackshot wants to make a page for The Battle of Long Tan, which appears to be a documentary with re-enactments. Crackshot has told me that this is similar to Kokoda (2010), which appears to have been allowed. I'm not really sure now, because there are obviously a lot of History Channel-type documentaries that do re-enactments as well and I don't believe these are eligible. Well of course I bow to your experience since you actually photographed it and handeled it. I was going off of the photo - that weird front sight and the short grip. From the photo it looks like it was chopped by a gunsmith somewhere along the line and possibly the barrel was changed, but when I look at the group photo of the three actors it does look like Efram is holding a Colt Detective Special - judging by the scale. I've never heard of a Colt DS in 32 caliber, but then I suppose a good smith wouldn't have too much trouble converting a DS to a .32 caliber configuration. I have no issue with you making the change. :I COULD NOT agree more.... You are right, I was making an assumption. Hope I didn't come across sounding like an ass... Honestly didn't mean to. I'd like to help! Question though... sis the air DATE really necessary as opposed to just the year? I think when you start adding day and month it gets to be a bit too much information... Plus there are some guns that appear in just a single episode, and then some that are used throughout a series (the characters main weapon). Another thing that would be REALLY nice to clear up while we are at it, for the date, do you list the date/year the weapon occurred, or the date(s) the show ran for? For example, if Jack Bauer used a certain gun for season 1-3 of 24 do we list 2001-2004 or 2001-2010? I've seen it both ways... I would LOVE to work together with you on this! == The House on Creepy Lane ==

So I just deleted The House on Creepy Lane AGAIN. I saw you deleted it the last 2 times... I am new to being an admin and don't want to overstep but seems to me like this guy isn't getting the message. I left a message on his discussion page saying that if he creates the page again, he will be banned from the site (that would be his FOURTH strike...). Is that appropriate? Like I said, I'm new as an admin and do not want to abuse my "powers". --Zackmann08 13:55, 27 June 2012 (CDT)
Max Manus
When working to actor Ken Duken I came across a deleted movie Max Manus. I do not understand. Nevertheless, it is best Norwegian film about the war. Why is missing?--Pandolfini 14:44, 27 June 2012 (CDT)
::Because it was deleted back in 2009 and the page had no screencaps, no poster and was almost a bare page. How good a movie WAS has no bearing on whether or not it's IMFDB page qualifies. THINK before you ask questions. MoviePropMaster2008
Images
Thanks for the tip. I was checking to make sure that they weren't used anywhere on here but didn't think about their use on the forum. I will make sure that I don't delete any obviously personal gun pictures. Like I said, thanks for the tip! --Zackmann08 08:07, 4 July 2012 (CDT)

Hi. I'm sorry, but Google translator to translate it fails, unfortunately. I do not understand the meaning of the sentence. It would write it differently? What is "obscure non-American firearm"? What is here problem?--Pandolfini 16:52, 14 July 2012 (CDT)
Oh, I see! It missing there country of origin. I apologize for this error.--Pandolfini 02:45, 15 July 2012 (CDT)
Page for the film "The Objective"
Hey there, I wanted to crate a page for the film "The Objective", but noticed that there was already a page for it which you deleted back in 2010. My question is: May I please recreate the page? --RaNgeR 14:57, 19 July 2012 (CDT)

Hey, I'm pretty new, and I wanted to ask why you deleted the trailer park boys page. I assume it was due to little effort/bad quality? And may I have permission to remake it? --Tadeezy 18:32, July 22/12 (MST)

Some one should really add screenshots. It would really improve the quality of the article.

I could capture a few, I have netflix, so I can get some from season 1-5 in high quality, and 6-7 in lower quality. only thing is i'm not the best at identifying guns, so if anyone that can would help, we could get this article going. -tadeezy
