From Dusk Till Dawn is a 1996 action horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino as bank-robbing brothers who kidnap a family as they make their escape across the border into Mexico. When they stop at a remote Mexican strip bar, the brothers and the family find themselves having to battle supernatural forces who inhabit the establishment. The film would spawn two direct-to-video films: a 1999 sequel and a 2000 prequel. A television series remake premiered in the US on the El Rey Network in 2014.
Information
The Ruger Blackhawk is a famed single action revolver first built by Ruger in the '50s. It is basically a Colt Single Action Army "Peacemaker" with a beefed up frame and cylinder, coiled springs, elevated and adjustable sights. Post-1973 models also incorporate a transfer bar, allowing the hammer to rest on a loaded cylinder without the risk of discharging the firearm, as well as simplified lockwork. It is sold in a vast array of calibers from .30 carbine, .41 caliber, .45 long colt, .22 long rifle and .22 magnum and the most popular .44 magnum and .357 magnum models.

The Ruger Redhawk is a large frame double action revolver, based on Ruger's Security Six line. It is available in both blued and Stainless Steel finish. What distinguishes it from other revolvers is the fact that it was intentionally built with substantial reinforcements in the frame, chamber and cylinder, making it capable of taking very hot custom hand loads. This design feature was done to cater to the custom loaders, ever searching for more powerful handgun cartridges. At the time of it's introduction, 1979, it was the most powerful handgun in the world, being that it could take the .44 Magnum cartridge, custom loaded to maximize velocity. Such 'hot' loads were not recommended for any of the other .44 magnum handguns at the time, including the venerable Smith & Wesson Model 29/629. Since then other larger calibers and handguns have been introduced.

In 1987, Ruger released the Super Redhawk, based on the GP-100 revolver. Unlike the original Redhawk, the frame extends out an additional 2 1/2" to allow for the mounting of a scope. Since it's introduction, Ruger has pared back the original Redhawk line to the .44 Magnum and .45 Colt cartridges, with the larger chamberings only offered in the Super Redhawk.
Full Metal Panic! is an action/comedy anime franchise based on a series of light novels by Shoji Gatoh. The first adaptation was in the form of a 26 episode television series taht covers the first three novels (Fighting Boy Meets Girl, Running One Night Stand, and Into the Blue). This was followed up by a 12 episode sequel series titled Full Metal Panic?: Fumoffu, which used genre parodies and unused material from the first season to create a gag series. A third television series, Full Metal Panic!: The Second Raid, picks up where the first series ends and adapts the fourth and fifth novels (Ending Day by Day parts I and II) into 12 episodes. All three series have been released in English by Funimation and Madman Entertainment.
Gendo's gun a Walther PPK?
I've heard it identified as a CZ-75 before, and it certainly doesn't look like a PPK in the pic (PP/PPK pistols have their recoil spring around the barrel, not underneath, and therefore don't need an underlug).
:::Ok, account created, edit made.Notamisfit 06:13, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Let me get thsi straight: a CZ-75 has that bulky part underneath the barrel, while a PPK slopes directly back underneath the barrel, and has a wider ring around the front? We could use a better comparison pick with a real life PPK held at the same angle. --V 19:22, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
:I looked. Sadly, I don't own a PPK. You're pretty much right on the underlug/lack of underlug though. CZ's and derivatives are relatively rare in that the underlug doesn't possess a full-length guide rod or recoil spring plug. (EDIT: Another thing; in the pic on the main page, the slide is clearly less wide than the frame. That points to internal slide rails, which points to the CZ (or SIG P210, and that's no SIG). ==What variant of HK USP does Misato use?==

The loading shot shows an 18-round magazine (nine visible holes, double stack), suggesting it's a 9mm model. The Wierd It 20:00, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

The problem is that Misato fires 10 rounds, and all three main USP variants have a bigger capacity than that. Normally it says right on the side what version it is, but they didn't bother animating that. I..doubt its a .45 ACP because those are apparently slightly bigger. I can see nine holes, yes...what does "double stack" mean? Why does that suggest 9mm? I mean, we don't see her inserting the entire magazine into the gun start to finish, the camera cuts in after she's already inserted the top part into the gun. A .45 has 12 rounds, a .40 has 16 rounds. I'm saying it might be a .40 and the top half of the magazine is just obscured because the top half is already inside of it.

does anyone own one or all of the USP variants, so you can take a picture of the magazine? A key point of contention/piece of evidence is what the magazine looks like from behind, but most online pictures just show already-loaded guns. --V 18:51, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

All right, time to clarify what I meant, since I probably dropped the ball quite badly. There are nine visible holes on the side of the magazine, which show how many rounds are left in it. "Double Stack" is actually me mangling the terminology a bit (the proper term is "staggered column") means that there's two columns of bullets in the magazine, typically staggered so it feeds one at a time. Further more, we only see one side of the magazine, so it should only be dealing with the rounds in the left column. 9 rounds each side x2 = 18. It's also more likely to be a 9mm or a .40 S&W since the .45 was still relatively new at the time the series was made (Introduced May 1995, first episode aired October 10th, 1995). Of course, this is all conjecture, nothing canon pegs the calibre. The Wierd It 21:29, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
While the K would commonly stand for kurz, German for "Short", PPK means Polizei Pistole Kriminal, the Criminal Police Pistol, noted by its compact criminal size. The Walther PPK is a shortened version of the Walther PP. Since it was the most common compact pistol of WW2 (for the German forces) it is the most famous as well as being the weapon of choice for fictional British Intelligence (MI-6) officer 007 James Bond.

Note, the K does indeed stand for Kriminal, however, this term needs some fleshing out. It is referred to as Kriminal not because of any preferred usage of smaller guns by Criminals, but because this is the gun issued to the Criminal division, i.e. the people who investigate crimes, which would be termed 'Detectives Division' in most U.S. police forces. Just like most patrolmen in the USA carried a 4 inch revolver at the time, and the Detectives often carried a snub nose revolver (Colt specifically calling theirs the Detective Special) so to did the investigative branch of the German Police desire to carry a smaller version of the full sized patrolman's duty weapon.
The PPK was too small for importation into America, so to fix the problem, Walther slapped a PPK slide on a PP frame and built the PPK/S. The most notable way to tell a PPK from a PPK/S is its finish (a PPK/S is far more common as a stainless gun than a PPK) and longer frame spur. Also, Walther did managed to sell more pistols that would otherwise be banned under the harsh rules of GCA-68 by building them domestically (Walther U.S.A.).
No mention of the Steyr ACR used by the EVAs? Okay, those were giant robot up-sized ACRs, so they probably don't count. What kinda of ammo did they fire anyways? Given the size of the EVAs it must have been something like 75mm!
Nerv's security guards use the Steyr MPi 69 as their standard main weapon. As Aoba states, Nerv HQ's entire defense plan was designed around fighting giant "Angel" monsters, not invading armies. They have trouble even dealing with terrorist threats. When the JSSDF invades at battalion-strength with commandos armed with RPG's, Flamethrowers, and HK G11's (not to mention supporting artillery battalions and attack helicopters), these Steyr MPi 69's are the best that Nerv personnel can respond with.

Normally only Nerv security guards are armed with Steyr MPi 69's, while normal technicians and computer operators are only armed with Glock 17's. However, command center computer operator Lt. Aoba either manages to get his hands on one or keeps one stored in his desk. When the JSSDF penetrates the command center room itself, most of the technicians there can only return fire with Glock 17's. Having no combat experience, Lt. Maya Ibuki is to afraid to even fire a Glock 17 Aoba hands her and cowers in fear under her desk. Aoba, however, fitting the nihilistic attitude he displays throughout the series, whips out a Steyr MPi 69 and starts casually blowing away advancing JSSDF troops, utterly remorseless at the act of killing another human being.

Glock 17
The standard issue sidearm for all Nerv personnel is the Glock 17. Even Nerv's sidearms are inferior to the JSSDF counterpart, the Browning Hi-Power.

Hyuga loads a Glock 17 from his desk when the JSSDF starts to invade Nerv HQ, but like most Nerv personnel, he has no weapons experience beyond basic training, so he nervously checks it by saying "safety off" aloud to himself. Since the Glock 17 has no external safety, it's curious as to how he accomplished this. The answer may be that it is one of the End of Evangelion English dub translation's notorious script problems: the original Japanese version apparently doesn't have Hyuga say an equivalent line to this (unless there's an outside chance he mutters it under his breath) and it appears that the English dub just added in "safety off" to match his lip-flaps when he was talking.
Heckler & Koch USP
Major Misato Katsuragi's gun is the HK USP. Unlike most Nerv personnel she does not use the standard issue Glock 17, possibly because she is head of the Tactical division. She brandishes it several times during the series, such as when she points it at Kaji's head when she catches him breaking into Terminal Dogma, then later when she forces Ritsuko at gunpoint to show her all of "Nerv's secrets" in Terminal Dogma, culminating in revealing the vat full of Rei-clones.

Take special notice that the variant of the HK USP that Misato uses has a rubber grip on the handle.

In End of Evangelion, the camera lingers on Misato loading her HK USP when the JSSDF starts invading Nerv HQ.

Later, Misato uses her HK USP to kill the three JSSDF soldiers who are about to kill Shinji. Misato is able to do this because she takes them by surprise. Her first shot takes out the JSSDF soldier who was about to kill Shinji with a Browning Hi Power pistol (right after he holds the pistol to Shinji's head and sarcastically says "Sorry kid, no offense taken!"). The other two JSSDF soldiers are armed with HK G11's, but it takes time for them to turn and level their rifles at Misato and she already has her HK USP drawn, firing while charging them. She shoots one soldier, then manages to knock the last one's HK G11 out of the way with a jumping kick. She then holds her HK USP directly against his chin, coldly says "Hey, no offense taken", then blows his brains out with a contact shot.

Misato fires 10 rounds in succession when fighting the JSSDF soldiers. All three of the main H&K USP variants carry more rounds-per-clip than this, so its difficult to tell which kind she uses.

Only briefly seen in episode 23, the Nerv HazMat team seems to be armed with H&K MP5's, probably the MP5 A3 variant (close inspection will reveal that it has a forward mounted ammunition magazine, it's just obscured by shadow; the Steyr MPi 69's magazine would feed into the handle).

R-92 revolver
The odd-looking revolver that Ritsuko pulls on Gendo during their final confrontation in End of Evangelion is the R-92, a 9mm revolver produced by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau at Tula. They were developed to produce a conceal-carry, instant readiness revolver for Russia's internal security forces. Ritsuko conceals her R-92 in her lab coat during her confrontation with Gendo, though there is no indication that she normally carries the gun with her.

CZ-75
Gendo Ikari pulls his own gun on Ritsuko during their final confrontation, when she lets her guard down due to the base's self-destruct not activating as planned. It's somewhat difficult to tell because of the angle, but it appears to be a CZ-75 variant (the top of the slide is from a CZ-75B, but the pistol doesn't seem to be full size). Again, there's no indication that Gendo normally carries a gun with himself, and he may have just been carrying it because Nerv HQ was being invaded by the JSSDF. Gendo says to Ritsuko "Ritsuko Akagi, the truth is..." but then his line is muted out (originally a background explosion was going to be in, so the audience can't hear what he's saying but Ritsuko can, but then the creators thought it would be more "artsy" just to mute the line without an explosion). We never find out what Gendo's infamous final line is, but it was something that "made Ritsuko feel so defeated that she doesn't even try to dodge Gendo's bullet" and welcomes death. Ritsuko responds "Liar", then Gendo shoots her once with his pistol, the force of which knocks Ritsuko completely off of her feet and flying backwards into the pool of LCL behind her (it's not clear how realistic this is, but keep in mind that Ritsuko wasn't bracing for the shot at all).
