The Bren Ten was a semi-automatic pistol designed designed around a new, more powerful round: the 10mm Auto. The gun was a bigger and (considered) stronger version of the 9 mm [[CZ-75]]. The Bren Ten was produced only in small numbers before the company went bankrupt. A subsequent attempt to resurrect it by Perigrine Industries as the Falcon and the Phoenix were also unsuccessful as that company too dropped production of the pistol.

The Bren Ten is perhaps most notable for having been Sonny Crockett's pistol in the television series Miami Vice. He wore it in the first and second season of the show - except in the pilot episode, where he used a [[SIG-Sauer P220]] - from 1984 to 86. The two Bren Tens used in the show were customized, applying chrome to the slide in order to make it more visible during night scenes. (Reportedly, the guns were altered to fire .45 ACP blanks, a modification that led to numerous malfunctions during filming.)

The highly popular show generated intense interest in the pistol, although the company was not able to deliver on this demand. When the company went bankrupt, the product placement position went up for grabs, being filled by the [[Smith & Wesson 645]], and later the [[Smith & Wesson Model 4506]].

The gun is considered a collector's item. Due to the TV-series it has become popular for owners to give the Bren Ten the "Miami Vice treatment". "Miami Vicing" a Bren Ten consists of taking a full-sized Standard Model and hard chroming the pistol's slide to replicate the finish of the gun used by Sonny Crockett (Don Johnson) on the television series Miami Vice. This is a relatively simple process and nothing else is required to duplicate the Miami Vice Bren Ten.

The '''[[Beretta 93R]]''' (full name: '''Beretta Model 93R''') is a selective-fire [[9mm]] machine pistol. The "R" stands for "Raffica" which means burst in Italian. It was designed in the 70s and meant for police and military use, offering extra firepower in a small package. It is perfect for concealed carry purposes such as VIP protection, or for close quarters fighting such as room-to-room searches.

A selector switch and the foldable foregrip allows the pistol to fire three round bursts with each pull of the trigger for a potential cyclic rate of 1100 rpm. The designers limited it to three round bursts to allow it to be more easily controlled. The 93R is basically a Beretta 92 series pistol (the Beretta [[92FS]] is designated '''"[[M9 Pistol]] M9"''' by the US military, and is the standard issue pistol for the US military). But the 93R is single action and outfitted with a muzzle brake, an optional detachable shoulder stock and a 20-round magazine that also allowed for a firmer grip. It is currently out of production.
