__TOC__<br clear="all">
Overview
Fallout 4 introduces a new weapon modification system to the series. Unlike Fallout: New Vegas, which allowed the player to attached suppressors, extended magazines etc. to their gun, Fallout 4 gives the player the tools to completely rebuild a gun, replacing different parts such as receivers, muzzles, internals etc. It's is possible to make semi-auto weapons full auto, attach different sights, bayonets, larger mags and more.
Handguns
10mm Pistol
The 10mm Pistol returns as a rather common firearm throughout the game and is chambered in 10mm Auto. In previous Fallout games, the 10mm pistol bore some resemblance to a Desert Eagle. The weapon can however be modded to resemble the 10mm pistol from the previous games.

Submachine Guns
Thompson Submachine Gun
The Submachine gun in the game appears to be crossed between a M1928 Thompson and a Thompson.

Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
A conventional sawn-off double barreled shotgun.

Combat Shotgun
The "Combat Shotgun" like previous games is also heavily based on the PPSh-41 but instead of ridiculously having a drum magazine at the muzzle-end, it now has a magazine from a Browning Automatic Rifle in the proper place. In addition it has a wooden foregrip and seems to be gas-operated due to a gas-tube running underneath the barrel.

Rifles
M1 Carbine
In the live-action, opening cinematic, a US soldier fighting in the Pacific Theater in 1945 is running with an M1 Carbine.

Galil ARM
During the live-action, opening cinematic, a Chinese soldier can be seen holding a Galil ARM during the invasion of Alaska. The gun was probably meant to represent the "Chinese Assault Rifle" from Fallout 3.
Fallout 4 is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is the fifth major installment in the Fallout series, and was released worldwide on November 10, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

200 years after a nuclear war, Fallout 4 is set in a post-apocalyptic Boston, in which the player character emerges from an underground bunker known as a Vault. Gameplay is similar to Fallout 3. Completing quests and acquiring experience levels up the character, allowing for new abilities. With an optional first- or third-person view, players can explore Fallout 4‍ 's open world setting at will, allowing nonlinear gameplay. Additional party members can accompany the player, who are able to assist them in battles. Players have the ability to construct and deconstruct buildings and items, and use them to build a settlement, which can attract and be inhabited by non-playable characters.
Gunmaster45 moment?
Was this patented without my approval? ;). I actually got the idea for trivia from MPM but as you can tell from the T2 page I took it a little too far. Personally I don't think this is that accurate of a movie, all the actors tend to have their fingers on the triggers, and there's some bad gun handling. Other than that its not bad but bad gun handling can ruin a movie for me. - Gunmaster45
:Yea, i just really like this movie. Sorry again, but i guess i did screw up a little (as always) Winn
::Yes it was patented. Everytime someone pulls a Gunmaster45 moment.... they have to Pay $20 to GM45 (for royalty rights) via Paypal. How's THAT! MoviePropMaster2008 22:49, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
:::I like that. Sucks that I don't have paypal though, but I take checks and money orders. :) - Gunmaster45
::::Do you take Zimbabwean dollars?Oliveira 01:21, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Realism
Not to beat a dead horse, but I'll show why I personally don't see this movie as anything special in realism.

Sorry to be annoying, I just felt I needed to point out why this isn't that realistic a movie. A good movie, but not all too realistic. - Gunmaster45

Who cares its just a movie its not real life.

Slight correction
GM45 - in the first pic of your "Realism" post, the grip the Markey Mark has (thumb high on the receiver relative to the grip) is indicative of someone who is in the act of manipulating the selector lever. It is perfectly reasonable for his thumb to be there, as he is just about to fire, and is presumably rotating the selector lever from safe to semi.
:I see. I missed this scene when I watched the movie so I'm working off of the image alone. - Gunmaster45

And in the second picture, it probably wasn't intentional, but that guy was a reservist, not a real soldier so he might not have the best training. Also in the third picture with Ice Cube, he just finished firing at Iraqi soldiers.

The Tommy Gun is capable of firing a 50 round drum, first used just before the first V-Rex attack.

Gewehr 98
The Gewehr 98 is capable of firing long distance and is used as a sniper ingame. It is first available at the point that you need to wait for Carl and Hayes to lower a bridge. It is obvious that this was one of the rifles favored by the Germans in WWI. Like the Luger in the game, Englehorn likely acquired it from either war surplus or stole it during the First World War.

The only thing is the bolt is only cranked when reloading, it fires like it's semi-automatic. Reloading itself is rather odd, as only one round is loaded into the rifle.
